About

Hello, I’m Eleennae!

I love teaching, writing, and reading, but right now, I am convinced that I’m not great at any of those. I’m very scared of failing, but I’m brave enough to try. This blog is a space for spotting and fixing those failures.

How to spot me in the wild: glasses, braces, and messy bun; cup of coffee; thick book and a notebook open to a blank page.

A lot of what I say and write stems from my identity as a Filipino diaspora kid who spent most of her childhood in Bahrain and Qatar and from the concepts I learn from my graduate classes in Reading Education. For a longer and more detailed introduction, you can read my first posts in this site: here and here.

At the moment, I don’t have a specific blogging niche because I want to explore all the topics that I’m drawn to and write everything that I can possibly can without restricting myself. If you like reading about books, places, and memories, then feel free to check out the rest of my work! If you like my work and want to help me grow this passion project, perhaps you can support me on Ko-fi by clicking the button below:

I have tried blogging before, and though I am not exactly proud of all of them, here is a list of blogs that I’ve started and quit before. This list is more of a landing page for me to access the archive of my old work, so proceed at your own risk:
